Job summary

Weill Cornell Medicine is seeking a Painter for the Upper East Side campus to maintain and repair architectural finishes, both interior and exterior. Under supervision, you will paint surfaces, install wallpaper coverings, patch plaster, and inspect finishes to recommend colors and materials for facilities.

Ideal candidates have about 2 years of painting, plastering and masonry experience, a high school diploma or GED, and, if needed, a valid New York State driver's license for vehicle use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Approximately 2 years of painting, plastering and masonry experience.
• Valid New York State driver's license if role requires use of WCM vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provides stakeholders with status updates, issues, key activities and changes to scope.
• Documents and updates work performed.
• Develops scope of work, identifies materials and labor, and obtains pricing.
• Paints interior and exterior surfaces, installs and repairs wallpaper coverings.
• Patches plaster, sheetrock, masonry, metal and wood surfaces.
• Inspects conditions and recommends colors and finish materials for facilities.
