Bechtel’s Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) Business Unit is designing, building and commissioning a semiconductor fab in Clay, NY. The Construction Automation Specialist supports the day-to-day operation, setup, and maintenance of Construction Automation systems on an assigned construction project.

This role provides hands‑on support for digital tools, workflows, and field‑related technology used by construction, project controls, ES&H, commissioning, and other project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Construction Management or Engineering.
• 3+ years in construction technology, digital systems, or site IT/automation environments.
• Hands-on experience with document management, reporting tools, mobile apps or similar systems.
• Able to work on an active construction site and communicate technical issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation and maintenance of Construction Automation systems in the field.
• Assist with system setup, configuration, and basic administration including reports and security roles.
• Support deployment of Construction Automation apps on tablets, phones, and push-to-talk devices.
• Process and publish visualization data from drones and site data sources.
• Monitor usage and data quality; troubleshoot routine issues and escalate complex ones.
• Provide user support, onboarding and basic training for project teams and contractors.
