Job summary

The Haskell Company in the United States is seeking an experienced Estimating leader to manage Estimating personnel and develop accurate, detailed construction cost estimates. You will contribute to the development and adherence of preconstruction standards and processes.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Engineering or Construction Management with 5–8 years of estimating experience and strong knowledge of architectural systems, with CMAR/Design-Build experience. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in engineering or construction management with 5–8 years of estimating experience preferred.
• Experience estimating architectural trades with labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Ability to lead and develop estimators with strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Estimating personnel.
• Develop and ensure utilization of Preconstruction processes, standards and tools.
• Develop accurate, detailed cost estimates and review other team members' estimates.
• Prepare scope clarifications and RFIs.
• Create market bid leveling analysis documents.
• Review and select bidders based on bid analysis.
• Develop project construction budgets.
• Maintain Preconstruction software and historical costs.
• Act as Pricing Lead when required.
• Identify risk items and contribute to Risk Register development.
• Support proposal win strategy and presentations.
• Contribute to cost savings initiatives.
• Develop bid packages and coordinate Preconstruction-Operations turnover meetings.
• Engage with Subcontractors and vendors for solicitations and relationships.
• Assist in project procurement and buyout.
• Collaborate with Preconstruction Leadership, designers, clients, and operations teams.
• Monitor costs and market trends.
