Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an Engineering Construction Manager to lead medium-scale data center infrastructure projects across the United States. You’ll drive on-site construction, coordinate with contractors and vendors, and ensure safety, quality, and scheduling adherence throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires 7+ years in construction management, with 3+ years in mission-critical or data center work, and travel across the U.S. Vertiv offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of construction management experience, including 3+ years on mission-critical/data center projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and civil/structural construction.
• Experience managing projects >$5M and enforcing safety/OSHA regulations.
• Familiarity with Procore, CX Alloy, Primavera, and MS Project; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the execution of medium-scale data center projects from site prep through commissioning.
• Coordinate with GC, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure scope, schedule and quality.
• Monitor construction schedules and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Maintain QA with codes, client requirements, and safety standards.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies and incident response.
• Serve as primary client contact on construction matters and issues.
• Maintain RFIs, change orders, punch lists, and closeout documentation.
• Support commissioning to ensure systems are tested and ready for handover.
