Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC seeks an Architectural Engineer to lead architectural design for power modules and data centers across IT, Telecom, and Industrial sectors. You will translate customer needs into compliant architectural drawings and coordinate with structural, electrical, thermal, and controls engineers throughout the project lifecycle.

You will work with fabrication facilities, review submittals, ensure codes compliance, and travel for design validation and quality audits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
Professional Engineering (PE) License – Optional
Minimum 4 years of Electrical Engineering experience
Knowledge of low-voltage switchboard/switchgear design, installation, and use
Knowledge of local, state, and federal codes governing the installation and use of low-voltage switchboards/switchgear
Working knowledge of Autodesk engineering software, including AutoCAD and Revit
Proven experience with Microsoft Office applications
Experience reading and interpreting electrical construction drawings and equipment specifications
Understanding of the current version of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Experience interpreting customer specification requirements
Ability to research new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities
Ability to think outside the box to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions without impacting quality, reliability, or maintainability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Proven leadership and problem-solving abilities
Proven project management skills

Responsibilities

Provide conceptual and detailed design of building architecture in the post-sales stage.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, municipal requirements and building codes.
Detail mechanical parts design including penetrations, doors and door hardware, flashing and sealing.
Create designs that meet Vertiv quality and budget requirements.
Provide SD, DD, and CD narratives for architectural design aspects.
Review and approve architectural product submittals.
Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers on thermal transfer calculations and fire ratings.
Specify architectural materials and finishes.
Work with Vertiv units, partners, and vendors to specify materials for fabrication.
Define project scope and provide technical support before and during construction.
Coordinate between structural and civil work design.
Provide technical project coordination with customers and suppliers.
Perform quality control during execution.
Provide on-site support for repairs.
Travel to fabrication facilities for validation and audits.
Communicate with customers to design optimal solutions.
Offer innovative, cost-effective solutions to customers.
