Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Architectural Designer to join a luxury design studio delivering high-end residential and hospitality projects in the Western Cape. You will handle conceptual work, 3D modeling, renderings, and detailed design development.

The role requires collaboration with senior team members to refine concepts and ensure coherence across documentation. You will prepare construction documents, assist in selecting premium finishes, and coordinate with structural, MEP, and landscape

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design, with a strong portfolio focused on luxury residential and/or hospitality projects.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino, Revit), rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Lumion), and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent graphic communication and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of architectural detailing, materials, and construction processes relevant to high-end projects.
• A keen sense of aesthetics, proportion, and spatial planning.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
• Good knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations.
• Passion for design excellence and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative and high-quality architectural designs for luxury residential and hospitality projects in Paarl, Western Cape .
• Create conceptual designs, sketches, 3D models, renderings, and detailed design development drawings.
• Collaborate with senior architects and interior designers to refine design concepts and ensure aesthetic coherence.
• Prepare detailed construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and specifications.
• Assist in selecting high-end finishes, fixtures, and materials to meet project design goals and budgets.
• Coordinate with consultants (structural, MEP, landscape) to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and document existing environments for renovation projects.
• Ensure designs adhere to client briefs, relevant building codes, and quality standards in South Africa .
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of luxury design trends, materials, and innovative building technologies.
