Job Title: Architectural Designer
Job Description
The Architectural Designer is responsible for creating 2D CAD and/or 3D Revit models for the design, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This position involves close collaboration with the in-house team and external project members from schematic design through project completion.
Responsibilities
- Draw existing and proposed buildings and interior spaces, including plans, elevations, sections, details, and 3D views.
- Create architectural drawings and construction documents, acting as production lead on drawing issuances.
- Collaborate with internal staff on design direction, presentations, and drawings.
- Coordinate and attend meetings with vendors, clients, engineers, and others regarding design and project updates through construction.
- Prepare Department of Buildings filings and bid sets, as well as backgrounds for engineers.
- Review and process product and shop submittals.
- Respond competently to Requests for Information from contractors.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Drafting and detailing knowledge.
- Proficiency in Revit/3D Modeling and AutoCAD.
- Understanding of Procore Management Software.
- IBC/ANSI Code knowledge.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Lumion 3D rendering software proficiency.
- Ability to read and review technical drawings from multiple disciplines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Construction experience and/or knowledge.
Work Environment
The role starts fully onsite, transitioning to a hybrid model. The office is conveniently located near Stamford MTA train, offering a dynamic setting for working on exciting projects, primarily in the corporate space, with a very competitive benefits package.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
