Job summary

Austin Brockenbrough & Associates, LLC, a Stratus Team company based in Richmond, Virginia, seeks an Architectural Department Manager to lead our architectural team on diverse projects.

You will coordinate with firm leadership to maintain quality, manage multiple projects from concept to delivery, and develop department initiatives to grow client relationships and project success. This is a senior leadership role requiring a registered architect with NAAB training and a passport.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture from NAAB school.
• Registered Architect.
• Experience with CPSM and DEB is a bonus.
• Current U.S. Passport or ability to obtain passport.

Responsibilities

• Manage architectural team of project architects and architectural designers.
• Coordinate with Civic Department Leader to develop department initiatives to control quality, risk, and delivery of technical aspects of produced work.
• Coordinate within-house multi-disciplinary design teams on projects throughout all stages, from concept to delivery.
• Be client-centered and results-oriented.
• Develop scope of work and proposals for small to medium size projects.
• Oversee multiple projects and clients at a time.
• Possess an understanding of local building codes and zoning regulations.
• Prioritize team for multiple clients and projects and deliverables.
• Oversight and assistance with the development of plans and specifications for new construction projects, remodeling existing structures, or improving the functionality of existing space.
• Create, manage, and produce projects for a wide range of market sectors.
• Assist in the growth and retention of the architectural department.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships.
• Collaborating with firm leadership, marketing, and operations.
