Bancroft Staffing Partners in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Project Architect to lead delivery of Mixed-Use and Multifamily projects, manage documentation, coordinate consultants, and drive design development through construction administration.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of professional architecture experience, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, and licensure is preferred (Texas registration a plus).

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural project delivery across Mixed-Use, Multifamily, Residential, and related project types

• Lead project documentation and coordination within Revit-based BIM environments
• Prepare, review, and coordinate architectural drawings, details, specifications, and construction documents
• Coordinate closely with structural, MEP, civil, landscape, and specialty consultants
• Mentor junior staff and ensure QA/QC of project documentation

The Position: We are seeking an experienced Project Architect to join our Austin studio, with a primary focus on Mixed-Use and Multifamily projects. This role is ideal for a seasoned architectural professional who can take ownership of project documentation, technical coordination, consultant integration, code compliance, and day‑to‑day architectural delivery across large, complex residential and mixed‑use developments. You will work closely with project managers, senior architects, designers, consultants, and clients while helping guide projects from design development through construction documentation, permitting, and construction administration.

What You’ll Do

• Lead architectural project delivery across Mixed-Use, Multifamily, Residential, and related project types
• Develop and coordinate projects from design development through construction documentation and construction administration
• Lead project documentation and coordination within Revit‑based BIM environments
• Prepare, review, and coordinate architectural drawings, details, specifications, and construction documents
• Coordinate closely with structural, MEP, civil, landscape, and specialty consultants
• Maintain consistency between design intent, technical requirements, and constructability
• Support project permitting and agency coordination
• Ensure documentation complies with applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, and jurisdictional standards
• Participate in internal project reviews, client meetings, consultant meetings, and coordination sessions
• Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and other construction‑phase documentation
• Assist with field observations and resolution of construction‑related issues
• Support project schedules, milestones, and deliverable planning
• Perform QA/QC reviews of project documentation
• Mentor Job Captains, Designers, and junior architectural staff
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers and senior leadership to ensure successful project delivery

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited program
• 10+ years of professional experience in architecture required
• Architectural licensure preferred – (Texas registration is a plus/preferred)
• Significant experience operating in a Project Architect or comparable technical leadership capacity
• Strong project experience within Multifamily, Mixed‑Use, Residential, or similarly complex project environments
• Proven experience leading projects through design development, construction documentation, permitting, and construction administration
• Advanced Revit proficiency required
• Strong hands‑on experience producing and coordinating complex architectural models and construction document sets
• Strong understanding of architectural detailing, building systems, materials, and construction methods
• Solid knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and permitting requirements
• Strong consultant and multidisciplinary coordination experience
• Experience reviewing and managing comprehensive construction document packages
• Experience with Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and related architectural/project management tools
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and project priorities
• Strong attention to detail and documentation quality
• Proven experience mentoring or guiding junior architectural staff
• LEED, WELL, or other relevant professional credentials are a plus
