Job summary

Qualifications

• At least one year of CAD experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training.
• Working knowledge of design and construction processes.
• Excellent time management and ability to organize and facilitate projects.
• Ability to interpret legal and technical documents.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide CAD support for capital projects under $640k.
• Manage small projects from cost estimation to close-out.
• Scope new project requests and propose project implementation, budget, and schedule.
• Develop CAD drawings through design development, schematic design, and construction documentation.
• Oversee hiring and coordination of contracted engineers.
• Communicate with contracted vendors and UCLA Health clients.
• Oversee project review for regulatory compliance and organizational policies.
• Manage submittals to HCAI and UCLA plan check.
• Ensure training and close-out documents meet contract requirements and are properly distributed.
