K. Hovnanian Companies, LLC, a leading homebuilder, seeks a CAD/Architectural Drafter to join its design team in Matawan, NJ.

Using AutoCAD Architectural Desktop and Google SketchUp, you will draw accurate, detailed home plans and prepare construction documents for review by internal decision-makers and future homeowners. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Architecture or 2–5 years in homebuilding; knowledge of residential construction, structural and mechanical designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent experience (2–5 years) in homebuilding.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Architectural Desktop and Google SketchUp.
• Knowledge of residential construction and structural/mechanical design.

Responsibilities

• Draw accurate and detailed plans using premier CAD technology.
• Develop forms, charts and construction documents for review by internal decision-makers and future homeowners.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Architecture

2-5 years experience in homebuilding

Using premier CAD technology, you’ll draw accurate and detailed plans that help illustrate home plans, building materials, options, etc. You will also develop forms, charts and other construction documents for review by internal decision-makers and future homeowners.

Requirements for this position include a bachelor’s degree in Architecture or an equivalent of 2-5 years'experience in the homebuilding industry. Additional skills include proficiency in AutoCADArchitectural Desktop, Google Sketchup, knowledge of residential construction and structural and mechanical designs.
