Job summary

K. Hovnanian Companies, LLC is seeking a Vice President of Operations to guide the division's Construction, Quality Assurance, Scheduling, Homeowner Service, Plans, Purchasing, and Home Design Gallery.

You will drive strategic planning, align cross-functional teams, and monitor costs to ensure profitable execution of homebuilding projects. The role requires a minimum of 10 years in high-volume residential construction within a large corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in high-volume residential construction in a large corporate environment.
• Proficiency in construction and understanding how construction, purchasing, architecture and quality are linked.
• Bachelor's degree preferably in construction management or related discipline; advanced degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee management and strategic planning of the Division’s Construction, Quality Assurance, Scheduling, Homeowner Service, Plans, Purchasing, and Home Design Gallery.
• Ensure consistent execution of construction processes to meet goals and control costs.
• Lead cross-functional alignment between construction, sales, purchasing, architecture, quality, and design.
• Maintain extensive interaction with Corporate Senior Management.

As the Vice President of Operations, the following job responsibilities include: Overall management and strategic planning of the Division’s Construction, Quality Assurance, Scheduling, Homeowner Service, Plans, Purchasing, and Home Design Gallery. Ensures consistency of execution of construction processes in order to produce efficient and profitable results as well to minimize losses, resulting in the meeting or exceeding of assigned goals and objectives; monitors construction costs; evaluates and improves product design; serves as the lead person between construction, sales, purchasing, architecture, quality and design to align processes and drive efficient and effective homebuilding practices. Extensive interaction with Corporate Senior Management.

Job Experience & Education Requirements

To qualify, a minimum of 10 years' experience in high volume (production builder) residential construction in a large corporate environment, preferably with a top 10 national builder. Must have a proficiency in construction and a high level understanding of how construction, purchasing, architecture and quality are linked to together to achieve efficient and effective construction practices. A bachelor's degree preferably in construction management or related discipline desired; advance degree is a plus.
