Job summary

RRMM Architects in Arlington, Virginia seeks an experienced Architect/Project Manager to lead design and delivery from inception through construction, coordinating teams and client services.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years' experience, an Architecture degree, licensure or progress toward licensure, and strong knowledge of codes, Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office. We offer a competitive salary and generous benefits.

The Position

We are looking for an experienced, creative, passionate, and driven professional to join our Arlington office. The ideal candidate will be proactive with a desire to work in a collaborative environment to create innovative design solutions, manage projects and personnel, and mesh business development skills, design aptitude, and technical expertise with an emphasis on client service. The ideal Architect/Project Manager candidate will have 5+ years' experience, as well as strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to successfully carry a project from inception through construction.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $96,000 - $126,000. Compensation offered will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to candidate's qualifications, skills, relevant experience, education, and certifications.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Create architectural designs and concepts based on client input and feedback.
  • Interpret and apply building codes and requirements of other regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare and revise documentation in various architectural phases including site plans, floor plans, building elevations, building sections, and details.
  • Coordinate building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
  • Modify designs to meet the changing needs of each client.
  • Communicate with contractors and construction workers to implement designs changes in the field.
  • Attend project coordination and meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Degree in Architecture; Licensed Architect or pursuing licensure preferred.
  • Knowledge and application of accessibility codes and applicable building codes.
  • Knowledge of building construction systems
  • Understanding of all phases of architectural document production
  • Ability to conduct space planning, block planning, and adjacencies in coordination with building program.
  • Develop floor plans, wall sections, and details.
  • Check own work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
  • Participate and collaborate in a project team setting through all phases of architectural document production.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Extensive experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
