Job summary

EKU Careers on the Richmond Campus within the Division of Facilities Management & Safety seeks an Architect to administer capital construction projects across the main campus and regional campuses.

The Architect will translate user needs to design professionals, manage planning, budgeting, and scheduling, and oversee projects through warranty.

Must be licensed as a professional architect or engineer, hold a related bachelor’s degree, and have at least one year of licensure-experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Related bachelor's degree required.
• Experience: Must have one year of experience above that required for licensure.
• Licensure & Certifications: Must be licensed as a professional architect by the State Board of Examiners and Registration of Architects, or licensed as a professional engineer by the State Board of Licensure for Engineers and Land Surveyors.
• Must maintain a current license as a professional architect or engineer.

Responsibilities

• 75% - Administration of Capital Construction projects across main and regional campuses.
• 10% - Creation of Capital Construction Projects.
• 10% - Develop Documents and Specifications for Capital Construction.
• 5% - Support the office functions by completing other duties and special projects.
