Qualifications

  • Professional degree in architecture.
  • 8–15 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Architectural licensure preferred, but not required.
  • Strong technical knowledge and design sensibility.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other 3D modeling and documentation tools
  • Knowledge of building codes, zoning, permitting, construction materials, specifications, and building techniques
  • Experience developing and coordinating comprehensive construction document sets
  • Strong detailing, consultant coordination, communication, and project-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a collaborative studio

Colberg Architecture is seeking a talented Architect to join our Brooklyn-based studio. We are looking for a collaborative team member and proven leader who values design excellence and a holistic approach to practice—from early concept development through construction.

About the Role

The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple projects with varying scopes and schedules. This role requires the ability to move between design, technical documentation, consultant coordination, and construction administration while translating conceptual ideas into thoughtful, well-resolved solutions.

Qualifications

We recognize that architects bring different combinations of experience and strengths. Candidates are not expected to have mastered every area below; we value curiosity, adaptability, and a demonstrated ability to learn and grow.

  • Professional degree in architecture
  • 8–15 years of relevant professional experience
  • Architectural licensure preferred, but not required
  • Strong technical knowledge and design sensibility
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other 3D modeling and documentation tools

Compensation and Benefits
  • Compensation package range of $105,000–$150,000, commensurate with experience, plus bonuses
  • 80 hours of paid time off, in addition to paid holidays
