Standard Architects is a 10-person architecture firm in Long Island City, NY, with a national reach, engaged on a broad range of project types and sizes here and across the country.

We are seeking an experienced architect to work as a project manager as a key member of principal-led project teams.

We would like to hear from you if:

• You are skilled at managing small teams on complex and demanding projects.
• You are a good problem solver, proficient in both design and construction.
• You can take the initiative to lead but also take direction from a principal and can work to effectively develop and implement that direction.
• You are good at communicating clearly, precisely, and professionally with a variety of people across a wide range of roles and circumstances.
• You are comfortable working under pressure and can handle multiple simultaneous responsibilities.
• You are organized and thorough and like to get things done.

You should have at least ten years of experience working in the profession, preferably in similar architecture practices in the United States. Your application should focus on demonstrating project management experience and must include recent work samples. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 9am to 6pm, in the office.

Compensation will include:

• An annual salary of $95,000 or more for the full-time position described, conditioned on your experience and ability to fulfill the requirements of the job. We may ultimately hire someone with less or more experience or with qualifications that vary from what we seek; if so, the salary may vary from this estimate.
• Three weeks of vacation, eleven public holidays, two personal days, and seven sick days per year.
• A fifty percent contribution to your premium for one of the company’s health and dental insurance plans, and a simple IRA plan with a matching contribution of up to three percent of your base salary.
