Job description

A well-established architecture and interior design firm on Long Island is seeking Project Architects with 10+ years of experience to join its growing team. This is an opportunity to lead projects from concept through construction while working on a diverse portfolio that includes education, libraries, municipal/public works, multifamily residential, commercial, hospitality, and interior architecture.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on architect who enjoys balancing technical execution, project coordination, and client interaction within a collaborative studio environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead projects through all phases, from schematic design through construction administration
  • Produce and coordinate permit and construction document sets
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Manage NYS permitting processes (NYSED experience preferred)
  • Review shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor submittals
  • Conduct site visits, construction meetings, and field observations
  • Perform QA/QC reviews and redline project documentation
  • Research materials and coordinate with product vendors
  • Mentor and collaborate with project team members throughout the design process
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture (or related field)
  • 10+ years of professional architectural experience
  • Experience managing projects from concept through construction
  • Strong construction documentation and detailing experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Knowledge of NYS Building Codes and ADA requirements
  • Experience with NYSED permitting is a plus
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a collaborative environment
