Job summary

HDR is hiring an Architect to contribute to the design and delivery of spaces across healthcare, education, and mission-critical sectors. You will collaborate with architects, planners and engineers to solve complex design challenges using sustainable approaches and advanced technologies.

The role emphasizes leadership, coordination, and delivering high-quality documentation. A registered architect with Revit fluency and a strong client-facing mindset is essential, in a culture of employee

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field.
• A minimum of 3 years experience.
• Registered Architect.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
• Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills.
• Proficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and process.
• Demonstrated graphic presentation skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select and apply standard architectural techniques, procedures and criteria using judgment for minor adaptations and modifications
• Perform assignments with specific objectives, requiring investigation of a limited set of variables
• Follow instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features and possible solutions
• Perform architectural assignments with direction, but without immediate supervision and with limited design responsibility
• Recommend and select procedures
• Write reports and specification covering architectural matters
• Take responsibility for phases of individual revenue-producing projects as needed
• Perform other duties as needed

In the role of Architect, we'll count on you to:

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture
• Experience in the areas of healthcare or mission critical (data center)
• Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and 3-D Studio Max
• Rhino and Grasshopper experience

Note:

Architect role may be aligned with either our Healthcare, Education or Mission Critical (Data Center)/ Industrial group. We welcome candidates with experience in either market, and the position is structured to support strong architectural talent across a range of backgrounds.
