Job summary

TYG is seeking an Architect to apply technical expertise to building assessments in Dallas. You will conduct property condition assessments, evaluate building systems, and prepare detailed reports for clients involved in acquisitions, capital planning, and asset management.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's or Master's in Architecture with 3+ years of experience, including construction documents and technical drawings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • 3+ years of architectural experience.
  • Experience developing construction documents and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of building systems and construction practices.
  • Excellent written communication and technical reporting skills.
  • Ability and willingness to perform field inspections and site assessments.
  • Existing building assessment, forensic, or consulting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Are you an Architect looking to apply your technical expertise beyond traditional design work?

We’re partnering with a nationally recognized building consulting firm that is expanding its Building Assessments team in Dallas. This is an excellent opportunity for an architect with experience in construction documentation, building systems, and existing buildings who enjoys getting out in the field, solving real-world building challenges, and working directly with clients.

In this role, you’ll conduct property condition assessments and building evaluations for a wide variety of commercial real estate assets, helping clients make informed decisions regarding acquisitions, capital planning, and asset management.

What You’ll Do:
  • Perform property condition assessments and building evaluations across a range of asset types
  • Conduct site inspections and document existing building conditions
  • Assess building systems, life safety components, and overall asset performance
  • Prepare technical reports and recommendations for clients
  • Review construction documents, drawings, and building records
  • Collaborate with senior assessment professionals on complex due diligence projects
  • Interface directly with owners, investors, and real estate stakeholders
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
  • 3+ years of architectural experience
  • Experience developing construction documents and technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of building systems and construction practices
  • Excellent written communication and technical reporting skills
  • Ability and willingness to perform field inspections and site assessments
  • Existing building assessment, forensic, or consulting experience is a plus but not required
