Job summary

TYG is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Southeast team in a client-facing consulting role focused on building assessments, due diligence, project advisory services, and capital planning for commercial properties.

You will conduct site visits, review project documentation, prepare client-facing reports, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to manage risk, maintenance, and capital expenditure decisions.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Building Science, or related discipline.
  • Professional registration or licensure preferred.
  • Experience in consulting, design, construction, property assessments, forensic investigations, owner's representation, or related technical advisory services.
  • Familiarity with commercial building systems, construction practices, and building performance evaluations.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Comfortable working directly with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to balance technical responsibilities with project and client management.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout various stages of the asset lifecycle.
  • Conduct site visits, field investigations, and property evaluations.
  • Support technical assessments related to existing buildings, asset performance, and project risk.
  • Participate in forensic investigations involving building systems, construction issues, defects, failures, or performance concerns.
  • Review drawings, specifications, reports, contracts, budgets, and other project documentation.
  • Prepare client-facing reports, findings, and recommendations.
  • Coordinate with project teams, consultants, contractors, and ownership groups.
  • Assist clients in understanding building conditions, potential liabilities, deferred maintenance considerations, and capital expenditure requirements.
  • Manage multiple assignments while maintaining quality and responsiveness.

We are currently partnering with a well-established consulting firm that advises owners, investors, developers, and other stakeholders across a broad range of commercial real estate assets and projects.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Associate to join their Southeast team. This is a client-facing consulting role offering exposure to building assessments, technical due diligence, project advisory services, forensic investigations, and capital planning assignments across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities
