Job summary

Stantec is seeking an archaeological technician to support field survey, testing, data recovery, and monitoring from our offices in Riverview, FL; Alpharetta, GA; or Mobile, AL. The role is full-time, temporary, project-based with extensive travel and rotations of 5–10 days, with paid travel days and per diem.

Responsibilities include fieldwork such as surface survey, shovel testing, and excavation, requiring strong communication, physical endurance, and familiarity with mapping tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in anthropology/archaeology or related field
• Successful completion of an archaeology field school
• Experience with survey and excavation is helpful

Responsibilities

• Perform archaeological fieldwork tasks including surface survey, shovel testing, and excavation
• Assist in data collection, recording, and monitoring activities
• Collaborate with team on Phase I survey projects and field operations
