System One is seeking Archaeology Field Technicians (Entry–Mid Level) to support CRM projects across multiple locations. The role involves hands-on fieldwork, laboratory processing, and GIS support under supervision.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, physically capable, and eager to gain professional archaeology experience in a field-based environment. Responsibilities include surveys and testing, excavations, artifact recording, and data management, with occasional travel to project sites.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, Architectural History, or related field.
• Minimum 3 months of archaeological field experience (survey, testing, or data recovery).
• Experience identifying and recording prehistoric resources.
• Familiarity with Phase I–III CRM investigations.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel to project sites.
• Strong organizational skills and a positive work ethic.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and follow project protocols.

Aufgaben

• Conduct archaeological surveys and testing across Phase I–III investigations.
• Excavate shovel test pits, test units, and block excavations.
• Identify, document, and analyze prehistoric and historic artifacts and features.
• Record field data, site documentation, and mapping information.
• Use GPS for data collection and site mapping.
• Assist with laboratory processing, artifact cataloging, and analysis.
