Mercer University’s Academic Resource Center seeks an ARC Peer Tutor for Fall 2025 through Spring 2026 to provide one-on-one academic guidance during scheduled ARC hours. Tutors assist students who drop in, handle phone duties, and perform general office tasks.
They do not complete homework or take-home exams. Applicants must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA, be a sophomore or higher, have completed the course with a B or better in Mercer or related Mercer courses, and obtain a signed departmental
Tutors provide individual assistance in a variety of disciplines. They work in the Academic Resource Center (ARC) during specified hours on the weekly schedule and tutor students who drop in during those hours. Other duties include helping out with answering the telephone and various general office duties.
It is the primary responsibility of tutors to provide academic guidance and modeling for students who come for appointments; tutors do not complete homework assignments or take-home exams.
