What You’ll Do
- Be part of a team working in a collaborative environment
- Perform line clearing and tree trimming duties for utility customers, including pruning, trimming, and removal of trees and limbs, and removing broken limbs from wires and structures
- Climb trees for trimming and removal near power lines
- Prepare, operate, and maintain tools and equipment such as hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts
- Remove limbs and brush, and dispose of debris properly
- Apply spray chemicals to preserve desirable vegetation as needed
- Ensure safety of employees and the public by following safety practices and helping enforce safety protocols
What You’ll Need
- At least one year of experience as a Trimmer/Climber working around utility wires
- Knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits, and arboriculture techniques for work near energized conductors
- Experience in tree climbing, knot tying, and PPE use
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and perform physical labor
- Capability to operate equipment like chainsaws and circular saws, and endure extreme climate conditions
- Willingness to obtain necessary certifications such as licenses and First Aid/CPR cards
- Pass pre-employment drug tests and skills assessments
