Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Denver, CO is seeking a Tree Care Coordinator to mentor climbing arborists in a defined territory and lead their training in safe work practices, climbing efficiency, and career advancement. This role requires hands-on coaching alongside trainees to build skills and confidence in each climber’s progression.

The position emphasizes safety, use of the Davey Safety Manual and industry standards, plus ongoing training participation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of progressive climbing arborist experience in safe tree care production operations.
• First Aid and CPR certified.
• Valid Driver’s License; CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide production-based field training to develop career progression and safety practices.
• Partner with Regional Skills Trainers and Safety Managers to expand training opportunities.
• Lead new employee orientation including First Aid, CPR, Electrical Hazard Awareness and safety policies.
• Mentor staff to improve engagement, retention and advancement.
• Ensure onboarding and Learning Management System documentation is completed for new hires.
