Job summary

Lucas Tree Experts is seeking Arborist Trainees in Exeter, NH for a full-time outdoor position. Starting pay is $19–$24 per hour with on-the-job training and opportunities to learn felling, climbing, rigging, equipment operation, and vegetation management.

No prior tree industry experience is required. The company offers licensing/certification support and wage increases as you progress. This role emphasizes safety and advancement in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 45 hours weekly.
• Must be 18 years of age with HS diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to work outside in various types of weather.
• Must be physically able to perform job duties (walk on uneven ground, carry 75 lbs).
• Must be willing to work at varying heights and operate bucket truck safely.
• Must be willing to obtain CDL A or B license and related certifications.
• Must successfully complete post offer physical, drug screen, background, and motor vehicle checks.

Responsibilities

• Manual removal of vegetation from work areas.
• Pesticide application as required.
• Safely operate forestry equipment (skidders, mowers, chainsaws, ATVs).
• Perform line clearance, pruning and removals.
• Learn and operate bucket truck.
• Follow safety policies at all times.
