Job summary

Lucas Tree Experts in Hampden, ME is seeking an Arborist Trainee/Climber. This full-time, year-round outdoor role offers hands-on learning in felling, climbing, rigging, and equipment operation with on-the-job training.

No prior tree experience is required; the company will cover licensing and certifications and provide wage increases as you advance. You will join a safety-focused team with advancement opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 18+ with High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Able to work 45 hours per week
• Outdoor work in various weather conditions
• Willing to learn bucket truck operation and safety procedures
• Willing to obtain CDL A or B and relevant licenses
• Successful completion of post-offer physical, drug screen, background and motor vehicle check

Responsibilities

• Manual removal of vegetation from work areas and line clearance
• Pesticide application as required
• Safely operating forestry equipment (skidders, mowers, chainsaws, ATVs)
• Pruning and removals in outdoor environments
• Carry out duties with safety-first approach
• Support training and career advancement activities
