Job summary

Joshua Tree Experts in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Tree Care Crew Leader & PHC Specialist to supervise a small crew and manage PHC treatments across assigned routes. This role blends field leadership with technical plant-health care expertise.

You will oversee safe job-site execution, perform diagnostic treatments, build relationships with homeowners, and maintain equipment while complying with safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of proven tree care operations experience, including climbing, pruning and removals.
• Hands-on PHC application experience and knowledge of southeastern tree species.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and on-the-job decision-making skills.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 21 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs repeatedly, navigate uneven terrain, and work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, with overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Job-Site Leadership: Oversee daily job-site execution with a 2–4 person crew.
• PHC Route Management: Complete daily PHC routes and apply targeted treatments.
• Client Communication: Be the on-site face and ensure client satisfaction.
• Equipment Operations & Maintenance: Safely operate calibration and maintenance of gear.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety policies and document product usage.
