Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking an experienced Arborist Crew Leader in Wilmington, NC to lead a tree care crew, perform essential services, and promote safety and efficiency on site. You will guide crew members, train staff for each job, and ensure adherence to industry standards while delivering exceptional client service.

The role requires at least three years of tree climbing and aerial lift experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities for a tree care crew.
• Valid driver’s license; Class B CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture, including pruning, cabling and bracing, rigging, removals, and operating equipment.
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager.
• Ensuring crew training for each job assignment and compliance with industry standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture, including
  • Pruning
  • Cabling and bracing

  • Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager
• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Communicating, answering questions, and building relationships with clients
• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, and self-motivated
