Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking an Arborist Crew Leader who will lead a tree care crew and perform all arboriculture tasks safely and efficiently. You will help train and develop teammates while delivering high-quality pruning, removals, cabling, rigging, and related services.

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR; Class B CDL preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, and self-motivated.
• Commitment to safety-first practices and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely performing and supervising all arboriculture tasks, including pruning, cabling/ bracing, rigging, and removals.
• Maintain and operate equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Supervise and manage crews on job sites and train crew members as directed.
• Ensure work meets industry and Bartlett standards and client specifications.
• Communicate with clients and the Arborist Representative; build relationships on site.

As an Arborist Crew Leader, you will play an important role in

• Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture, including
• Pruning
• Cabling and bracing
• Rigging
• Removals
• Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager
• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Communicating, answering questions, and building relationships with clients
• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record (Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, and self-motivated
