Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts in Spokane, WA is seeking an Arborist Crew Leader to supervise and perform all tree care tasks safely and efficiently. The role emphasizes leading a crew, ensuring high-quality work, and maintaining equipment in a safety-first environment.

You will guide crew training, communicate with clients, and uphold Bartlett’s standards while promoting professional development and job-site teamwork. This is a full-time position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Safely performing and supervising arboriculture tasks across the crew.
• Ability to lead and train team members for designated jobs.
• Valid driver’s license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely performing and supervising pruning, cabling, bracing, rigging, and removals.
• Maintain and operate equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Supervise crews and ensure work meets company and industry standards.
• Communicate with clients and coordinate job sites on a daily basis.

As an Arborist Crew Leader, you will be an integral member of the team, serving as the leader of a tree care crew with the primary responsibility of performing all tree care services safely and efficiently. • Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture, including
  • Pruning
  • Cabling and bracing
  • Rigging
  • Removals
  • Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager
• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Communicating, answering questions, and building relationships with clients
• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, and self-motivated
