Job summary

Bartlett is seeking an Arborist Crew Leader in Oregon to lead a tree care crew, perform arboriculture tasks, and mentor teammates in safety and efficiency. The role emphasizes hands-on supervision, high standards for workmanship, and client communication on projects in various conditions.

The position requires extensive tree climbing and aerial lift experience, a valid driver’s license, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude to drive performance and growth within the Bartlett team.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to supervise crews.
• Strong communication and client relation skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture (pruning, cabling and bracing, rigging, removals).
• Operate and maintain equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Supervise crews and ensure each member is trained for assigned jobs.
• Ensure work adheres to industry and company standards.
• Communicate with clients and build relationships.
• Promote a safety-first culture on site.

As an Arborist Crew Leader, you will play an important role in

• Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture, including
  • Pruning
  • Cabling and bracing
  • Rigging
  • Removals
  • Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager
• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Communicating, answering questions, and building relationships with clients
• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, and self-motivated
