Bartlett Tree Experts in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking an Arborist Crew Leader with at least 3 years of climbing and 1 year leading a crew. You will supervise a tree care crew, perform pruning, cabling, rigging, removals, and equipment operation, all while upholding safety and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Three years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Ability to supervise a crew and ensure safety during tree care operations.
• Valid driver’s license; Class B CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely performing and supervising all arboriculture tasks including pruning, cabling/bracing, rigging, removals, and operating equipment.
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site.
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services as directed by supervision.
• Ensuring crew members are trained for each designated job and that work meets industry standards.
• Communicating with clients and building relationships on site.

STARTING PAY $30.00+/HR BASED ON EXPERIENCE. MINIMUM 3 YEARS OF CLIMBING EXPERIENCE WITH 1 YEAR CREW LEADER EXPERIENCE. WILL HAVE TO DEMONSTRATE BASIC CLIMBING SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE DURING INTERVIEW

Responsibilities

As an Arborist Crew Leader, you will play an important role in:

• Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture, including:
  • Pruning
  • Cabling and bracing
  • Rigging
  • Removals
  • Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager
• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Communicating, answering questions, and building relationships with clients

Qualifications

• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, and self-motivated
