Bartlett Tree Experts in Williamsburg, VA, is seeking an Arborist Crew Leader to guide a tree care crew in performing safe, high-quality arboriculture services. You will supervise field work, ensure equipment is maintained, and mentor crewmembers on best practices.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of climbing (DdRT or SRT) with aerial-lift experience, a valid Class B license, and a passion for outdoor work. We offer strong benefits and career advancement within Bartlett.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred).
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform and supervise all aspects of arboriculture, including pruning, cabling and bracing, rigging, removals.
• Properly maintain and operate equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts).
• Supervise and manage crews while performing tree care services and ensure crew training.
• Ensure all work aligns with industry and company standards and communicate with clients.

Responsibilities

As an Arborist Crew Leader, you will play an important role in:

• Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture, including:
  • Pruning
  • Cabling and bracing
  • Rigging
  • Removals
  • Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager
• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Communicating, answering questions, and building relationships with clients

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred)
