Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree or 5 years of related experience, with 3+ years in related work, and a valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Interface with VP, Regional Sales Manager and Branch Managers to develop and negotiate the portfolio of services for profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Manage opportunities through AborNote to provide visibility of sales efforts to management.
• Develop contacts and prospects to ensure long-term profitability through cold-calling, market research, and internal lead development.
• Generate job estimates/bid proposals with scope, boundaries and labor/material estimates in cooperation with operations.
• Reply to client RFPs promptly and professionally.
• Meet or exceed annual sales targets.
• Attend RFP pre-bid meetings and proposals.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Arborist Representative will partner with Operations and other functional groups to develop and implement processes and practices which leverage business intelligence into enhanced business performance. Will be responsible for the management of sales efforts across assigned territories by working as an intermediary between operations staff, maintenance partners and prospective clients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or five years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

• At least 3 years related work experience

License

• As required by state and federal law
• Valid driver license issued by the state where employed

Specialist Skills

• Ability to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends, and to travel
• extensively within territories
• Knowledge of tree care principles, pruning techniques, tree ID, and disease ID
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently to complete multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Experience working the commercial property managers a plus

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Interface with Vice President, Regional Sales Manager and Branch Managers to develop, present and negotiate the recommended portfolio of services to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction
• Manage opportunities through AborNote to provide visibility of sales efforts to management
• Develop contacts and prospects to ensure long-term profitability for Monarch and its customers through cold-calling, market research, and internal lead development
• Generate job estimates/bid proposals, including scope of work, accurate site boundaries and measurements, and estimate of labor and materials in cooperation with operations
• Reply to client Requests for Proposal in a timely and professional manner
• Meet or exceed established annual sales targets
• Attend RFP pre-bid meetings and proposal presentations
• Maintain relationships with key clients to seek out and take advantage of opportunities for networking and additional sales generation
• Attend staff and sales meetings to assess business opportunities and ensure mutual understanding of Monarch’s strategic focus
• Facilitate contact with existing and potential clients via trade shows, association events, and meetings
• Ensure a smooth transition from contract signing to contract fulfillment by facilitating introductory meeting and site walk-through between client and operations
• Other duties as assigned
