Job summary

YinzCam, Inc. seeks an AR Developer in Pittsburgh, PA to craft augmented reality experiences for professional sports teams and venues. You will analyze user needs and software requirements, applying CS and engineering principles to create engaging AR apps for mobile platforms.

You will collaborate with clients and teammates, integrate AR using Unity3D/C# and Java, and explore cutting-edge AR tech. This role requires strong Unity/Unreal experience and a passion for immersive sports experiences.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Entertainment Technology or CS.
• 3+ years of Unity or Unreal Engine development experience.
• 3+ years in game design and development (3D, UI, gameplay, sound, physics, rendering).
• 3+ years of Java or C# experience.
• 3+ years developing AR features for Android or iOS.
• 3+ years of computer vision/image processing with OpenGL/OpenCV or similar.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients or internal teams to determine needs and develop software to spec.
• Integrate AR experiences with Android and iOS apps.
• Develop prototypes using latest AR technologies for demonstrations.
• Use Unity3D/C# and Java to create experiences across platforms and form factors.

THE ROLE

YinzCam, Inc. is seeking an AR Developer in Pittsburgh, PA to create new augmented reality experiences for professional sports teams/stadiums by analyzing user needs and software requirements and applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

• Consulting with clients and/or internal business representatives to determine client needs with regard to application performance, then developing software in accordance with required specifications and application needs
• Integrating AR experiences with existing applications for both Android and iOS platforms
• Experimenting with the latest AR technologies to develop prototypes for demonstration to customers
• Using extensive knowledge of the Unity3D game engine, C#, and Java programming language to develop experiences for multiple platforms, screens, form factors, and densities
• Participating in the full feature life cycle including concept, design, build, test, and deploy
• Identifying and correcting problems uncovered during testing and quality assurance processes to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
• Using System version control systems like Git to write and maintain software
• Utilizing outside APIs and build tools to speed up the development process
• Creating UX flows of products that explain the user journey in the experience

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Entertainment Technology or Computer Science
• 3+ years of experience developing applications using Unity or Unreal Engine
• 3+ years of experience with various aspects of game design and development (3D, UI, gameplay, sound, physics, rendering, etc.)
• 3+ years of professional experience with programming languages such as Java or C#
• 3+ years of experience with developing AR features for either Android or iOS mobile platforms
• 3+ years of experience with computer vision/image processing with OpenGL/OpenCV, Photoshop, or other third‑party libraries
• Knowledge of 3D modeling custom assets
• Understanding texturing of 3D models and ability to customize existing textures and 3D models based on client customizations
