YinzCam, a tech leader in sports, is seeking an experienced Android developer to lead native app creation and UI-heavy features for mobile platforms. You will integrate third-party SDKs and connect with backend APIs while shaping high-quality user experiences across devices.

In-office role in Pittsburgh, PA, US, requiring 4+ years in Android/Java/Kotlin, REST APIs, and design-to-code implementation. Candidates should be able to work non-traditional hours for the sports industry and deliver

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Android native app development experience, including memory management and lifecycle handling.
• 4+ years of Java development experience.
• 4+ years of Object-Oriented Programming with Kotlin, Java, and Git.
• 4+ years of consuming RESTful APIs and interfacing with backend services (JSON, REST, XML).
• 4+ years translating designs from Zeplin, Figma, etc. into production Android interfaces.
• 4+ years integrating third-party SDKs and APIs.
• Experience delivering Android apps for a wide range of devices and OS versions.
• Portfolio of published apps on Google Play Store.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours for the sports industry.

NOTE: This is an in-office role in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. This is not a remote/hybrid role.

THE ROLE

• You will be leading and implementing the native development of entire mobile apps and mobile UI-heavy features on the Android platform.
• You will be integrating multiple third-party SDKs and interfacing with data from backend APIs.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• 4+ years of industry experience with Android native application development, including Android memory management, process lifecycle, threads and thread handlers
• 4+ years of industry experience in Java development
• 4+ years of industry experience in Object-Oriented Programming, Kotlin, Java and Git
• 4+ years of experience in consuming RESTful APIs and interfacing with backend services, including familiarity with JSON, REST and XML
• 4+ years of industry experience translating design mockups (in Zeplin, Figma, etc.) into production-quality functioning Android app interfaces.
• 4+ years of industry experience in integrating third-party SDKs and APIs
• 4+ years of industry experience in building Android products that target a wide range of devices (Android versions, device sizes, manufacturers)
• Portfolio of published apps in the Google Play Store.
• Willingness and ability to work the non-traditional hours of the sports industry.
