Job summary

SGS Consulting in Washington, DC is seeking a software engineer to modify, extend, and maintain calibration software written largely in C/C++, with Python automation. You will develop new SW components in C/C++ and Python to scale for various customers and calibration stations.

Join a project team to deliver calibration software and integrate research algorithms into production pipelines, review requests, and estimate time and cost for projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related field required.
Experience in C/C++, Python, and software development lifecycle is expected.
Background in calibration or hardware-related software is a plus.

Responsibilities

Modify, extend, and maintain existing calibration SW that are mostly written in C/C++, with automation scripts in Python.
Write new pieces of SW in appropriate languages (C/C++, Python) to productize and scale the calibration SW for different customers and stations.
Work as part of a project team to coordinate delivery of calibration SW to customers and incorporate research algorithms into production pipelines.
Review project requests, estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.
