Responsibilities

• Proficiency with AR modules including patient registration, charge entry, coding, claims processing, collections, reports, and patient information inquiry.
• Works all cases in Work Queue to ensure corrections and timely reimbursement.
• Provide customer service by phone and in person for patient accounts; responses within 2 business days where applicable.
• Follows up on denials, rebills, and payer correspondence within five working days of receipt; aims for maximum reimbursement.
• Provide feedback to Management regarding claims issues and missing information, including authorization issues at registration.
• Review and resolve all assigned payer correspondence.
• Healthcare terminology related to medical coding; understanding of contract language preferred.
• High-quality math skills; ability to identify trends and variances.
• Microsoft Office experience required.
• Other duties as assigned.
