Job summary

Neighborhood LTC Pharmacy, Inc. (NRx) is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist to own day-to-day AR operations across our pharmacy and payment systems, including posting payments, reconciling insurance, managing statements, aging, and follow-up on past-due accounts.

The role also includes a reporting component: turning transactional activity into aging, DSO, payor-mix, and collection/denial reporting. This position is on-site and full-time, with a compensation range of $50K–$60K.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in accounts receivable, billing, or similar role.
• Solid grasp of AR lifecycle: cash application, aging, collections, reconciliations, and period close.
• Proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivot tables, clean worksheets).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential data.
• Clear written and verbal communication for internal teams, customers, and payors.

Responsibilities

• Post incoming patient and payor payments and reconcile to the pharmacy system.
• Respond to inquiries regarding balances, statements, and payment status.
• Perform daily insurance reconciliation and produce reconciliation reports.
• Set up and maintain new-patient payment enrollments.
• Verify and process medical-expense and refund requests (overpayments).
• Process and email monthly patient statements.
• Prepare aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts.
• Code money-in transactions and close AR sub-ledger each period.
• Support month-end close by reconciling AR to the GL.
• Resolve denied or underpaid claims with payors.
• Produce AR metrics packages (aging, DSO, denial rate, payor mix).
• Assist with cash-flow forecasting and variance analysis for receivables.
