Job summary

Basic Fun! is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage daily account activity and drive timely payments while maintaining strong client relationships. You will investigate past-due balances, issue refunds as needed, and collaborate with credit departments to resolve issues.

This full-time, on-site position is based at our Boca Raton headquarters. The ideal candidate has experience in collections, strong billing knowledge, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Collection Specialist or similar role.
• Excellent knowledge of billing procedures.
• Knowledge of various collection techniques.
• Contact clients and discuss their overdue payments.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and databases.
• Comfortable working with targets.
• Knowledge of collection laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Full-time on-site position located at our company’s headquarter offices in Boca Raton, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Monitor accounts on a daily basis.
• Identify outstanding account receivables.
• Investigate historical data for debts and bills.
• Take actions to encourage timely payments.
• Process payments and refunds.
• Resolve billing issues.
• Resolve customer credit issues.
• Contact clients and discuss overdue payments.
• Update account status records.
• Prepare and present reports on collection activities and progress.
• Record information about the financial status of customers and collection efforts.
• Notify customers of delinquent accounts by mail, phone, or visits to solicit payment.
• Arrange debt repayment or schedules based on customers’ financial situations.
• Advise customers of necessary actions for debt repayment.
• Answer questions regarding problems with accounts.
• Notify credit departments and turn over records to attorneys when needed.
• Sort and file correspondence and perform clerical duties.
