Job summary

QXO is seeking a detail-oriented credit and collections specialist to support the Regional Credit Manager and assigned portfolios in Daytona Beach, FL. You will partner with sales and administrative teams to promote collections, meet cash-flow targets, and reduce delinquent receivables.

You will professionally address customer requests, maintain accurate account notes, and escalate unresolved issues to leadership as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience in credit and collections or billing, basic accounting knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative and collection support for Regional Credit Manager and assigned portfolio.
• Partner with sales and administrative teams to promote sales while meeting cash flow targets and mitigating delinquent receivables.
• Address customer requests professionally and build lasting relationships in a fast-paced team environment.
• Maintain cashflow by resolving open invoices and keeping DSO low.
• Communicate account status to branch managers, sales personnel, regional leaders, and credit managers.
• Escalate unresolved accounts to appropriate leadership to obtain resolution.
• Update account and invoice notes for clear communication to internal customers.
• Ensure timely responses to internal and external customers to provide excellent service.
• Review unapplied payments, overpayments, and short-paid invoices; resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to credit hold requests and release orders based on payment promises.
• Approve or disapprove overrides to credit holds as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
