Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist in New Jersey to manage invoicing, cash applications, collections, and account reconciliations, supporting timely cash flow and accurate financial records.

You will collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Accounting teams to resolve discrepancies, process credits, and assist with month-end close. 2+ years of AR experience and strong Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years in Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections, or General Accounting.
  • Strong understanding of AR processes, cash applications, collections, and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics, or QuickBooks.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct collections activities via phone and email while maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, deductions, and disputes.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and prepare account analyses.
  • Prepare and review AR aging reports and collection status updates.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Accounting teams to resolve customer account issues.
  • Process credit memos, adjustments, write-offs, and refunds as approved.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Maintain organized records of invoices, payments, customer communications, and supporting documentation.
  • Support internal and external audit requests.
  • Identify opportunities to improve AR processes and collection effectiveness.
