Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Patient Financial Services AR Manager to lead the insurance accounts receivable team within a regional health system. You’ll supervise billing operations, follow-up, collections, and reconciliation, partnering with revenue cycle leadership and employed physician practices to ensure compliant billing and strong AR performance.

This hands-on leader will quantify denial trends, address payer performance, and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field required; alternatives: HS diploma with 8 years revenue cycle leadership, or Associate’s with 4 years experience.
• 5 years in patient accounting or related field; at least 3 years in supervisor/leadership role.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the AR team: hiring, training, performance evaluations and discipline.
• Set department goals and procedures with PFS leadership; track financial and operational performance.
• Manage all insurance AR billed in Epic HB and PB with focus on productivity, quality, and reimbursement.
• Ensure activity complies with payor rules and internal policies.
• Monitor and resolve insurance credit balances; oversee AR vendor performance.
• Review patient complaints and legal documents; run monthly rounding and QA reviews.
