Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Manager of Accounts Receivable to oversee payer denials, insurance follow-up, and AR balances, partnering with Practice Operations to improve front-end revenue cycle and reduce denials with automation and process improvements.

The Manager leads AR staff, coordinates with external billing services, ensures accurate charge capture, coding, and timely resolution of unbilled/billed claims, and supports month-end close and financial reporting.

• 5+ years of Health Care Billing Experience in a management role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Accounts Receivable operations for OHPMS.
• Collaborate with Director of Practice Operations and practice managers on charge capture and reconciliations.
• Manage coding staff to ensure timely physician charge capture; coordinate with compliance.
• Resolve unbilled and billed claims rejection edits promptly.
• Interface with software vendor and billing service for claims submission and follow-up.
• Monitor customer service and respond to patients promptly.
• Manage patient collections to optimize cash receipts and monitor agencies.
• Assist month-end closing with timely financial data.
