Job summary

Gear Up Sports, Inc. is seeking an AR Accountant to manage reconciliations, collections and ledger activity in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

You will become an expert in our ERP and order entry systems while collaborating with Sales, Operations and Customer Service to resolve past-due invoices and account issues. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field with 3+ years in accounts receivable, strong Excel skills, and experience with multi-system integrations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years AR/accounting experience or an Associate degree with 5+ years.
• Understanding of journal entries, ledgers, reconciliations and financial statements.
• Experience with multi-system integrations; Dynamics 365 preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and financial analysis.
• Industry exposure to retail/manufacturing/eCommerce is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assume AR responsibility for larger, more complex accounts.
• Participate in process planning for new complex accounts.
• Become an expert on AR processing within ERP and order-entry systems.
• Research and resolve open balances; follow up on past-due invoices.
• Coordinate with Customer Service and Sales to resolve invoice issues.
• Process payments, credit memos and refunds; respond to inquiries.
• Maintain customer master files and assist month-end close.
• Collaborate across departments to resolve errors and integration issues.
• Support AR during illnesses/absences; participate in other projects.
