• Research reasons for past due balances and notify customers with past due balances.
• Document daily collection activity and provide regular updates via reporting in financial system.
• Identify bad debt exposure to sales and the finance team.
• Assist in identifying gaps and recommend improvements on collections processes.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

AR CREDIT & COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST

THE RUNDOWN

This AR Credit & Collections Specialist will work with the corporate finance team on the management of all open accounts receivable. The focus of the position will be internal & external daily communication in an effort to reduce outstanding receivables and mitigate any potential bad debt exposure. The person in this role will support the Credit & Collections Manager by providing updates on aged receivables and reports on collection efforts.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Monitor outstanding accounts receivable across all divisions and follow up directly with customers on aged accounts receivable
• Assist with new customer onboarding process into internal finance system
• Coordinate with internal departments on their outstanding accounts receivable to ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner
• Research reasons for past due balances and notify customers with past due balances
• Document daily collection activity and provide regular updates via reporting in financial system
• Identify bad debt exposure to sales and the finance team
• Assist in identifying gaps and recommend improvements on collections process
• Other job-related duties as assigned

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2 – 5 years relevant work experience in Accounts Receivable department
• Strong financial acumen
• Experience working in Netsuite or similar system
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Powepoint, Excel)
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and follow up
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving
• Must be able to exercise independent judgment or identify when assistance is needed
• Ability to manage multiple projects timely and accurately
• Superior verbal and written communications skill

• This role is a sedentary role and takes place in a quiet-office setting
• Travel on rare occasions may be required for company-wide events
