Job summary

CFS in Pittsburgh, PA (Southern Suburbs) is seeking an experienced AR Billing Supervisor to lead the accounts receivable and customer billing function. This role ensures accurate invoicing, timely payment application, and collaboration with project teams.

You will oversee day-to-day AR, prepare invoices based on contracts and project progress, apply payments, monitor aging, and support monthly billing cycles.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts receivable, billing, or accounting experience.
• Supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Experience with construction billing or job costing is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills: PivotTables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day accounts receivable and customer billing process.
• Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices based on contracts, project progress, and completed services.
• Apply customer payments, including ACH, checks, wire transfers, and credit card transactions.
• Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding receivable balances.
• Communicate with customers regarding billing questions, payment discrepancies, and collection efforts while maintaining positive relationships.
• Partner with project managers and operations teams to resolve billing issues and ensure timely invoicing.
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate billing discrepancies.
• Support monthly billing cycles, reporting, and account reconciliations.
• Generate and distribute customer account statements.
• Assist with collections and maintain supporting documentation for billing and payment activity.
• Prepare lien waivers and other project-related billing documentation when needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
