Job summary

TexomaCare, affiliated with Texoma Medical Center, seeks an Accounts Receivable Specialist to ensure timely follow-up on unpaid claims and minimize write-offs. You will investigate denials, reprocess claims, and work with a care team to maximize revenue and front-end edit effectiveness.

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years in healthcare billing, strong accuracy, and proficient use of MS Office; experience with Cerner/Epic/IDX is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Technical school/associate degree preferred.
• Experience in healthcare billing or related operations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on unpaid claims by assigned payer(s) to meet collection targets.
• Research claim denials to determine reasons and reprocess for payment.
• Escalate denial trends to mitigate future denials and improve first-pass resolution.
• Perform accurate write-offs per IPM policy guidelines and identify non-collectible accounts.
