Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support AR and AP processes in Plano, TX. You will review invoices, manage corrections in Access, and ensure timely payments while understanding the impact on P&L.

Responsibilities include auditing carrier bills, analyzing tariffs, and generating ad-hoc reports. Requires Excel proficiency, MS Office, and the ability to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in A/P, invoicing, customer service or transportation/logistics preferred.
• Proficient with Outlook and MS Office; strong Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables).
• Able to work overtime; Plano, TX office and Coppell, TX office as needed.

Responsibilities

• Process customer billing (AR) accurately on or before deadlines per division policies.
• Manage and prepare correction forms for billing corrections in Access database.
• Review freight documents supporting charges invoiced for payment (AP).
• Understand Billing's impact on P&L and perform related ad-hoc reporting.
• Audit carrier freight bills, interpret tariffs and contracts; assist daily operations.
• Collaborate with internal systems and technologies used in daily tasks.
• Investigate errors and duplicates in carrier billing; propose corrective action.
• Perform other duties as required and contribute to revenue/cost reporting.

Pay rate: ~$25//hr.~, depending on experience

Working Location:Plano, TX / 9:00AM to 6:00PM

Responsibilities:

• Process customer billing (AR) accurately on or before deadlines as per requirements and according to company policy for each division.
• Manage, analyze & prepare correction forms for billing corrections in access database.
• Review and discuss essential freight documentation that supports charges invoiced and is required for payment (AP).
• Use knowledge and possess understanding of how Billing functions affect P&L.
• Audit carrier freight bills and interpret tariffs and contracts.
• Work with the internal technologies required for daily functions.
• Investigate and diagnose potential errors and duplicate carrier billing.
• Perform ad-hoc reporting, as required.
• Perform other job related duties as required
• Profit/Loss management, planning, forecasting, inspection for revenue/cost/BS account and related reporting
• All the tasks that directly or indirectly related to your job position and requested by company

(Preferable) Requirements/Qualifications:

• Experience in A/P, Invoicing, Customer Service or Transportation/Logistics related experience preferred but not mandatory
• Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to quickly grasp the situation to make decisions to ensure problems are overcome and perform the corrective action
• Effective written and verbal communications skills to communicate with various levels of the organization
• Proficient with Outlook, Microsoft Office applications PowerPoint, Word
• Proficient with Excel, especially v-lookups and pivot tables
• Ability to work overtime when needed
• Ability to work in Plano, TX office and Coppell, TX office when needed
